We offer S-ID(X) contactors from running production, being the continuation of ID contactors manufactured in former East Germany. Their present manufacturer has modernised them by removing asbestos from their construction and by reinforcing the heavy current contacts. The dimensions remain the same. The whole series has the GL (Germanische Lloyd) attestation and meets DIN VDE 0660 requirements. Generally, S-ID contactors are used for direct switching of squirrel-cage motors or as starting contactors for other types of motors, while S-IDX contactors are recommended for switching power capacitors.

Contactor construction
S-ID(X) contactors characterise by compact, modular construction. Contacting devices and electromagnets of the driving system are embedded deeply inside their structure, which reduces vibration and ensures mechanical reliabilty. Auxiliary contacts are placed beside the heavy current switching module. The enclosement of the contactor allows easy access to the main and auxiliary current circuits connection points and allows full service on the contactor without removing it from the place of use. The element projecting from the construction indicates contacts position and can be used for manual switching.

Accessories: Additional intereference eliminating parts - ZX 20 and ZX 25 - can be fitted in S-ID(X) contactors. They dampen contacts vibration caused by disconnection of the steering coil.
